23-7-2008 The activation of Ameland isl. is final to an end. Tnx all for making this a great adventure. A log of 1324 contact in 3 days + is a really good score. First contact G6MWS and the last PD1APT. The setup was little, a Ts2000 100w and a vertical for 40mtr.

PL259 shorted

After day 2 we had a small problem. A PL plug was burned out and we had to replace it. The dipole for 20mtr was ok but not as good as I expected. Next year I will be back on the air. Some friends and I are planning to activate Ameland again but then bigger and better..! Till next time on Pe2mc/P eu038 Ameland. A small video is also uploaded to Youtube. It’s a qso with M3TUC Tuc the second day and this was the second contact. So I made a recording from this qso just for fun.
